XP Launches Resale Ticket Marketplace, Powered by Solana

Over 30 Million Tickets Available for All Major Live Events in the U.S.

Chicago, October 31

Today marks the official launch of XP, a Web3-native ticket marketplace for all major live events in the United States. Built on the Solana blockchain, XP has over 30 million tickets in on-chain Real World Assets (RWA) for fans to be able to experience their favorite live events at the best possible price.

Once considered disruptors for offering convenience and ticket availability, online ticket marketplaces have faced criticism in recent years. Deceptive pricing practices marked by hidden and unexpected fees have left fans frustrated, resulting in eroding trust in the ticketing industry. XP aims to remedy the flaws of Web2 marketplaces by providing transparency, direct interactions, security, community building and payment flexibility.

Key Features of XP include:

1. Wide Selection: XP features a vast inventory of over 30 million tickets for major live events in the US including concerts, sports, theater productions, and more.
2. Blockchain Technology: Built on the Solana blockchain, XP provides fans with a secure and transparent platform to access tickets without junk fees. Through blockchain technology, ticket buyers and sellers can connect more directly. This not only simplifies transactions but also paves the way for peer-to-peer exchanges, trading, collectibles, and fostering community connections.
3. Payment: Fans can pay with Circle’s USDC, and if they need more, they can easily get it with Coinbase Pay or transfer in Ethereum-based USDC using Circle’s CCTP, to get the best possible deals. XP also accepts all major credit cards.
4. Authentication: XP meets fans where they are with one-click onboarding—whether they authenticate with a digital wallet such as Phantom, Backpack or Solflare or with their phone number—no wallet required. XP facilitates safe, frictionless transactions and ticket transfers at the best prices.

"XP is the next evolution of online marketplaces," said Michael Saunders, CEO of XP. "Incumbent exchanges are too extractive relative to the value they provide. Our goal is simple – to enhance the fan experience, making it more efficient and cost-effective. By leveraging blockchain technology, XP provides fans with a direct and straightforward way to access events, ultimately bringing them closer to the live entertainment they enjoy."
